Paper Airplane: Step-by-Step Guide with Photos and Comments
In this and all other guides, we strive to use only materials that are available in every household. For this paper airplane, you need just one sheet of paper! Normal printer paper in A4 size is best suited because it has the right thickness and glides well. If you want to use colored paper, make sure it is not too thick, as otherwise, the airplane will become too heavy and won't fly well.
Materials:
- 1 sheet of paper (A4 size)
Step 1:
Fold the sheet of paper in half. Then unfold it and fold both sides inward twice. This is the standard start for folding most paper airplanes.

Step 2:
Turn the sheet over and fold the airplane in half. Turn the sheet again and fold the 2 corners inward.

Step 3:
Now fold these 2 corners in the opposite direction. Turn the airplane over and fold it in half.

Step 4:
Next, fold the wings.

Step 5:
Cut off the excess parts with scissors, and your airplane is ready!

Paper Airplane and the Development of Children's Fine Motor Skills
Folding paper airplanes is not only fun but also promotes the development of important skills in children. Through the precise folding of the paper, children train their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. They learn to work precisely and develop a sense of symmetry and balance, which is also important in other areas of life. Moreover, it is a wonderful way for parents and children to be creative together and have fun.
