Professional photographer Jens Brüggemann reports on over 250 PDF pages from his career practice to give you a comprehensive insight into the professional approach to model photography . The explanations are accompanied by photos so that you take away information plus inspiration.

The book is divided into 10 chapters, ranging from the basic aspects of photography to organizational and legal (as of 25.05.2018, the GDPR information is not included). An overview of the content:

First, you will receive an introduction to how photography works, followed by considerations on photographing models and the necessity of image editing. You will then focus on the topic of correct exposure and learn how to control it using three parameters, how to use light metering and the histogram and how to take high-key and low-key shots. In addition, lighting and professional lighting control are addressed, both indoors and outdoors, with the appropriate technical aids and using the available light. In terms of equipment , Jens Brüggemann will show you which cameras and which lighting and computer technology make sense for your purposes.

This is followed by the implementation - the shoot: Here, the trusting cooperation between photographer and model is particularly important. You will learn how to achieve this by thinking about your counterpart and your communication. You will receive various professional tips for your shoot, including how to compose the image, how to focus correctly and how to use props and styling ideas. In addition, the professional photographer will provide you with practical knowledge to help you find suitable locations and create effective backgrounds and then photograph the model on location in exciting poses . Finally, it shows you how to take photos with or without an image idea , how to find suitable models and clarify image rights (as of 25.05.2018, the GDPR information is not taken into account). Jens Brüggemann is an art and advertising photographer specializing in beauty, erotic, people, kids and fashion. After training as a data processing clerk and then studying economics, he became a freelance photographer in 1998. His 300 square meter studio is located in the fashion metropolis of Düsseldorf, where most of his workshops and seminars on beauty portraits, erotic photography, lighting techniques and commercial photography take place. Brüggemann also offers individual one-to-one training and coaching sessions to provide both newcomers to the profession and "old hands" with his expertise. His current book publications are "Modern Erotic Digital Photography" and "Photography and Law" (together with D. Kötz). Your trainer for art & commercial photography!
