Create the right Christmas atmosphere with these styles

You receive a total of 25 layer styles, 5 each for a typical Christmas or winter theme:

• Candy styles: sweet stripes of green, red and white for a candy and lollipop look.
• Cookie styles : Transform text and graphics into delicious powdered sugar cookies and chocolate chip cookies.
• Cold styles : Put your layers in the freezer for freezing cool ice and snow looks.

What are layer styles in Photoshop?

You can use layer styles to create great effects in Photoshop. These include, for example, gradient and pattern overlays and different shadow variants. The effects can be used discreetly and more subtly. However, they can also give your graphics a completely new look. It is also possible to save Photoshop styles so that you can easily apply them to other elements or exchange them with other people.

How to apply the styles to your graphics and text

Import styles: The styles are available in ASL files. You can load these into Photoshop by double-clicking on them. Alternatively, open the control panel for styles under Window. Here you select Load Styles... from the small menu in the top right-hand corner.

Apply styles: Select the layer to which you want to apply a style and click once on the desired style in the Styles panel. You will notice that the corresponding look is applied directly to your layer. Below the layer you have selected, you will also find a whole series of layer styles that have been assigned to your layer and are responsible for the look. Recommendation: Adjust the size of your text or graphic correctly before you apply the style - if you scale your element later, the style will also change again.

Tip for scaling the layer styles: The look may not look the way you want it to after the first click. This is because the appearance of the styles depends on the size of your graphic elements. The solution: Scale the effects. To do this, right-click on "Effects" below your layer. In the context menu that opens, select Scale effects... By changing the scaling value, you can adjust all the effects responsible for the style to suit your requirements.

Tip for using the Photoshop files: For each style, you will receive a Photoshop file with application examples to preview the different looks. You can install the fonts used beforehand (see enclosed readme file). If you want to create a text, you can use the text layers in the PSD file directly as a template. To do this, select the text tool, change the text content and set your font.
