Using the Photoshop action "Colorful Autumn" is very simple. Load the action, patterns and brushes into Photoshop. Then open your photo and select the areas you want to display in the final image. Select your subject and simply start this Photoshop action - shortly afterwards, your picture will be surrounded by a magical display of autumn leaves. You can adjust the color of the background afterwards. You can also simply click more leaves into the image using the brush.

This is how the Photoshop action transforms your image into a pastel drawing

First, load the Photoshop action, patterns and brushes included in the package into Photoshop. In your photo, select the area that you want to keep in the final image, for example the portrait of a person. Copy the selection to a new layer. Now it's time to start the action and wait briefly for Photoshop to present the autumnal result . Your subject will be surrounded by a pastel-coloured, partially transparent array of autumn leaves and will look as if it has been drawn by adding hatching.

Create an autumnal leaf frame for your photos

With the Photoshop action "Colorful autumn" , all photo areas that you select yourself are retained. All others are replaced by a pastel-colored background. You can make wonderful use of this effect to create an autumnal frame for your motifs . To do this, do not select your motif yourself, but draw a rectangular frame around it. Color it black on a new layer. Photoshop will now apply the autumn look to all the image components inside the rectangular frame, while a picture frame with delicate foliage is created around it. This also works with circles or other frame shapes.

Your autumn look: add more leaves and change the background color

Once the action is complete, you have the option to further customize the autumn look to your liking: Using the brush, click additional autumn leaves in the color and size of your choice into your picture. You can also easily adjust the color of the background.
