With the first macro in this package, you can create a winter-cool look of piercing frost white and softly shimmering blue. With a further six macros, you can make the shadows of your photo appear reddish, add an icy cold glow of light, create a fairytale glow in two different intensities and fine-tune the contrast and details.

To round things off, you get four overlays in JPG format. Place them on a separate layer over your image and set the blend mode to multiply negative. You'll find icy haze, the glistening glow of the winter sun and snowflakes in your scenery.

Affinity Photo tutorial: Create an icy winter magic look with macros and overlays

With the "Ice-cold winter magic" macro pack, you get a total of 11 wintry assets to create a frosty look for your photos. Import the macros into Affinity Photo and use the first macro to create a chilly winter look. You can then refine this with the help of six other automatically running macros and by using the overlays provided. Matthias Petri explains how to proceed in this video tutorial.

Create a customized winter magic look for your photos in no time with the help of the 11 wintry Affinity Photo assets in this package.

Seven macros for Affinity Photo plus four additional cooling overlays

Just one click on the first Affinty Photo macro automatically creates a wintry look characterized by a cool white with a slight bluish tinge.

Then, if desired, you can add additional winter effects to your photo: a macro gives the shadows of your image an almost blood-red color cast. Another macro creates a glowing spot of light, which is best illuminated behind your subjects. There are also two macros that trigger a magical glow in two different intensities. And on top of that, you can fine-tune the contrast and details - also using automatic Affinity Photo macros.

Once you're happy with the look, you can also apply winter overlays . This allows you to work in icy haze, snowflakes and the glistening light of the winter sun. To do this, place the desired overlay on a separate layer over your image, set the blend mode to multiply negative and adjust the position and size of the effect.

Create your own winter look - here's how to do it

On a Mac, import the macros into Affinity Photo by double-clicking on the macro file. On Windows, open the Affinity Photo library and click on Import macros in the small menu at the top right. Start the desired macro and the program will automatically generate the look.

Each macro creates its own layer, the opacity of which you should adjust individually to adapt the strength of the effect globally to the conditions of your photo. You also have a mask available for each layer - select a round, soft, black brush and paint with reduced brush opacity in the areas of the mask where you want to locally attenuate the respective winter effect .
