Do you want to highlight certain areas in your video or image? A summer-fresh shot could do with a few splashes of color? Or does your logo need a real boost of visual dynamism in the intro and credits? - It's all possible - with these 15 animated video overlays .

Create breathtaking watercolor effects with After Effects, Premiere Pro, Vegas Pro and more

The video overlays are available in software-compatible MOV files. This means you can use them in all video editing programs that work with layers and offset alpha channels, such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro and Magix Vegas Pro.

The overlays offer you brush effects similar to those of watercolor in three themes: (1) Larger splashes run from the inside to the outside. (2) Several smaller splashes flare up and remain in front of your video, wafting effectively. (3) Brushstrokes are drawn on and present themselves with a typical frayed brush bristle and blob structure. You will receive five video overlays for each theme.

As a frame, fade effect or play of colors - freely customizable

To use the video overlays to great effect , first place them over your recordings in your program. You have the option of customizing the effects according to your wishes: Change their size, rotate the images and position them exactly where you want to use them. For what? That's up to you, of course, but here are four ideas:

Dynamic frames: Use masks to display only the areas of your videos and images that lie within the blobs, splashes and strokes. An elegant way to draw the viewer's eye to specific scenes.
Color effects: You can freely adjust the color of the video overlays. For example, place the small splashes on your images and videos to create an eye-catching watercolor effect. You simply have to look, for example when you use the effects to decorate the overlay of a logo or a lower third.
Crossfade: Use the effects to create an artistic transition from scene A to scene B. More than a simple cut - this makes your video look even more dynamic.
Combination: Of course, you can also combine the effects within a scene, as shown in the video above. For example, create a dynamic frame and add vibrant color effects next to it.
