Razor-sharp Acrobat recipes: masterfully editing PDF files

It is very easy to convert a PDF file into a PowerPoint file at the touch of a button. Unfortunately, the result is sometimes not optimal. That's why I'm providing additional tricks here on how to quickly optimize the file without putting in a lot of work.

It is very easy to insert pop-ups in Adobe Acrobat. Why do this? To quickly display additional information or even spice up applications. In this very entertaining video training, I will show you exactly how to do this and what you need to bear in mind.

If I want to embed a large number of files within a PDF file, I can do this elegantly and clearly using the portfolio function. But there are a few things to bear in mind. I explain what in this video.

I'm sure you've all been there: you've scanned various documents and now it would be nice if you could transfer the texts directly into Word, for example, without having to buy extra text recognition software. That's possible! With Acrobat you can have texts recognized automatically - and that also has other advantages: Documents can be searched. It is very practical to send a PDF file by e-mail as a link, as this gives you the option of transferring various parameters via URL. For example, when opening the file, you can jump directly to a specific page or define the zoom factor. All this is shown in this video. You can find more parameters here.

Do you have a graphic or text in the clipboard and want to quickly convert it into a PDF? No problem, even with multi-page PDFs! And at the end of this tutorial there is a special trick for Windows users as a bonus.

Adobe Acrobat allows synchronization via various cloud services that can be easily integrated into the workflow. The in-house service, the Document Cloud, offers the option of converting files (e.g. PSD, INDD or AI) without the corresponding software via the cloud service. And for those who can no longer see the bright Acrobat design, there is also a solution for the dark user interface.

Questionnaires that you receive or want to send as a PDF can be easily filled out using Acrobat. Even if no predefined input fields are stored in the PDF, texts can be entered, checkboxes can be set and the PDF can be electronically signed and sent. PDFs can be easily sent and made available via the Document Cloud. The recipient can receive the PDF as a direct link or in the form of a personalized message. Once opened, the sender also receives a confirmation of receipt, which offers an exciting opportunity for follow-up checks, especially when dealing with contracts.

Scanned paper documents do not have to be laboriously typed out, but can be converted into editable PDFs thanks to the integrated OCR technology (Optical Character Recognition). The typeface corresponds to the original scan, but the resulting PDF files are still customizable and searchable and elements and texts can be easily copied.

The Acrobat app uses the device's memory, but also allows synchronization and access to cloud accounts such as Dropbox or iCloud, which expands the limited memory and guarantees full access to selected data. It also shows how PDFs can be created from various other apps, for example from a PowerPoint presentation, a Google Drive document, an ordinary camera image and a Microsoft Word template. The reading mode/night mode supports the reading of e-books in a dark environment.

Acrobat can convert scanned documents into editable and even searchable PDF files with just a few clicks. In this short video, I show you how well this really works.

Redaction is a process by which text and images displayed in a document are permanently removed. This is done using redaction tools to remove confidential content. Instead of the removed elements, colored fields can be inserted as redaction markers. Another option is to simply leave these areas blank. At the very end, I'll also show you how you can do all of this in several documents at the same time without too much effort.

Acrobat has a stamp function to quickly place your own signature, for example. But that's not all. You can even create dynamic stamps very, very easily, e.g. to insert the current date and the editor's name. Be sure to take a look!
