Nik Collection: Tutorial on Analog Efex Pro 2

In this video, you will learn about the structure of the Analog Efex Pro 2 program from the Nik Collection. You will learn what you can find where.

The standard controls in Analog Efex Pro 2 and the most exciting technique of all: control points. With control points, you can apply your effects to individual areas of your image.

Your picture in cushion or barrel shape? Here's how! You can also use it to create chromatic aberrations. These so-called image errors - which occur with older cameras and lenses - can give your image an exciting look.

Make the edges appear blurred. You can use the bokeh effect to bring your subject into (sharp) focus. This is also a great technique for a miniature effect.

Give your image even more dynamism by giving image areas a zoom or rotate effect. Apply the effect to the areas of the image where you need it.

Pure dynamics. If you want an object to appear to be moving faster, use this effect. The effect is applied where you need it.

You can display the image twice in one image. With zoom effects, different sizes and opacity. You can also mix a second image with your first one. This allows you to create interesting image compositions.

The Incidence of light filter provides a variety of overlay effects with which you can change the color mood of your image in an exciting way and create cool looks.

Apply effects in the style of dust and scratches over your picture to make it look a little more broken and dirty.

Do you want your picture to look like it's old? Or as if it was badly scanned? Then use the photo plate filter, which places suitable textures over your image.

One of the easiest ways to add a vignette to your image is with Analog Efex Pro 2, which teaches you how to change and adjust the vignette.

Warm, subtle and black and white (color) effects with which you can give your image an older look. You also have the option of adding noise with this filter.

Divide your image into different parts to create a special collage. This allows you to enlarge individual parts of the image to show your viewer your retouching. You can apply various effects to the image or simply create the image sections.

Add a frame to your picture in different shapes and brightnesses. There's hardly any other way to do it so quickly and easily.

You can use the gradation curve to adjust the contrasts and colors of your image. An incredibly effective technique that allows you to change the brightness, even in individual color channels. The gradation curve is also great if you want to color the highlights differently than the shadows.

Save your compilations, export them or import new ones if you receive them from someone else.
